It was so time for our desserts. After the wonderful scallops and seriously good serious sirloin, I did still have room for dessert. Oh yeah, baby. I am a dessert girl, and I will still totally stuff my face with dessert, especially if it is included in the Disney Dining Plan.
First, the boys each got some vanilla ice cream with hot fudge to pour over. They wanted me to take the picture. Yes, they did! They were getting a kick out of me taking pictures by this time. You should feel lucky I did not show you their plastic cups of lemonade and soda! So, here is the chocolate sundae ...
Rob ordered the Bailey’s Creme Brulee Tart. I just turned to him and asked him if he liked it and he said, and I quote, “Yes, I liked it very much.” Sounds a bit like a “yes dear” answer to me, but I know that he did like it. Brookie shared some of Rob’s dessert.
Now, comes my dessert. I got the Dunbrody Kiss. It was very very good. The bottom of it was a bit strange. It was almost like a rice cake, and I wasn’t keen on that but the rest of the chocolate was awesome. Here is it before I shoveled my spoon in ...
... and here it is after a couple of bites so you can see the inside of it. Are your mouths drooling right about now?
Brookie also managed to come over and share some of my dessert.
After dinner, I knew we had to get Brookie something real for dinner. But no way was I going to order something at Raglan Road for her now. I had the brilliant idea of a great meal at Mickey D’s (that’s McDonald’s for all you people who don’t know what that is). We got her a 4-piece nugget meal with some fries and white milk. She ate the nuggets but wanted to play at the LegoLand slide more. So, here she is going down the slide. Oops! Her Pullup is showing! Glad she was finally potty trained totally 1 month after our trip.
After we finally were able to drag the kids out of there, we headed back to Once Upon a Toy to get Alec his Mack (from the Cars movie) truck, and then we made our way back to the ferry and took a relaxing ride back to Port Orleans Riverside where we went right back to our room, got ready for bed, and fell asleep fairly early. Boy, that was some run-on sentence, eh? Wednesday we were going to MGM Studios.
After those scrumptious appetizers, I was wondering if our entrees could possibly satisfy. I also was a bit worried about the boys getting something they liked. But we let them choose their own meals and hoped for the best.
Alec chose the Gold’n Chicken (two deep fried chicken goujons). Now you may be wondering, as I did, what the flip is a goujon? Basically, chicken tenders. Okay, that sounded like a good one for Alec. He ate them up and almost all his fries. He said he liked them.
Evan has a newfound love for fried fish, so he got the Atlantic deep fried fish with fries. He ate it all up.
Thank goodness they liked their meals.
Rob ordered the Paddy’s Pork (tasty pork loin stuffed with homemade sausage meat drizzled with honey soy glaze served with buttered leeks, cabbage and mashed potatoes). He said he could cut the pork with a fork (hey, I'm a poet and didn't know it!) (insert groans here). He really did enjoy this meal. It’s pretty to look at, but I would never have eaten that.
Being the meat-loving gal that I am, I ordered the Serious Sirloin Steak (10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey glaze, drizzled with fresh basil oil served with mashed potatoes and topped with crispy fried onion strings). Can I just say that this was absolutely wonderful? Can I? I absolutely can! Those crispy fried onion strings really were good with it too. I liked the onions there. And I don’t eat onion rings ever! I did not finish the mashed potatoes though because I’m not a big fan of them. But who cares because the steak was seriously good ... seriously!
And it was at the end of our entrees that the precious Sleeping Brookie woke up. I think she knew it was time for dessert ...
So, here’s the menu for the desserts. Once again, since you all did such at great job at guessing last time ... or not ... which did we each choose? Rob & I each got different desserts. I hope you can read it this time.
You know what? I can’t even remember what type of appetizer the boys got. I have no stinking idea, and I don’t have any pictures of it. I'm thinking that they didn't even get one, but whatever. Rob & I chose the exact same appetizer. We chose the pan-seared Georges Bank scallops served on creamed sweet corn and garnished with a candied lemon salad. Let me tell you, both Rob & I licked our plates clean. This was the best scallops appetizer we have ever had.

So, I sucked down my Citrus Mist. I mean, I took my time sipping my cocktail within 15 minutes and ... ordered another $9.50 Citrus Mist! And Rob ordered another draft. We figured, what the hay! We’re on vacation!!
I moved my Citrus Mist to the right of my place setting. Now, here is where that green lamp comes into play. The next time I went for a sip of my cocktail, I raised the glass and WHAM! It hit the underneath of the lamp. I looked at the lamp and saw this ...
Totally cracked it. I checked my drink to make sure it was okay, which it was. Whew! Saved that one!!! So, we ignored the lamp the rest of the night, and I kept my drink on my left side. Do you see all that dust? I did not notice that before the crack, but it is definitely dust as you can see the finger "swipes" in it. Ew.
Ahh ... time for our main courses ... next time.
Off we went to Raglan Road. As we were pushing Brookie in her stroller over there, can you guess what she did? I know you are probably racking your brain trying to guess so I’ll go ahead and tell you ... she fell asleep. We hoped that this would not put a crimp in our dining, as we were really excited to be dining here. We showed up at Raglan Road at 6:30 pm and asked if it was possible to be seated sooner than our 7 pm ADR and if it was possible to be in a booth. The CM said no problem, give her a minute, and sure enough, they called us over to be seated.
We had a huge booth! We all comfortably sat down and Brookie was able to lay down and continue sleeping. Also, notice that green lamp on the wall. It comes into the story later ...
Now, I totally planned on ordering myself an alcoholic drink tonight! I was so ready for this, and I chose a Citrus Mist. Don’t even ask me what was in it, but I’ll tell you it was absolutely delectable ...
Rob ordered some sort of draft beer. And before I could take a picture of it, he drank this much ...
Guess he was a little thirsty.

We really loved the atmosphere in Raglan Road. We were off from the main room, and it really worked well for us with Sleeping Brookie. The booths were very private. I really liked the framed pictures on the wall beside us.
But it was time to order our appetizers ...
It was an easy choice for me and for Rob. But you’ll have to wait until the next update to see what we chose. Would any of you like to take a guess?
